One cuvée that I radically underrated just after bottling is the 2018 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots, a wine that I had the occasion to drink after harvest in 2021. Soaring from the glass with a striking bouquet of red berries, orange rind, rose petals, exotic spices and musk, it's medium to full-bodied, melting and sensual, with supple tannins and an ample core of pure, perfumed fruit. Suave and seamless, this is now showing its cards much more completely than was the case two years ago, and it's holding a winning hand.
