Tasting Notes and Scores
(just two barrels, one of them new, due to losses to hail): Good medium red. Sexy musky aromas of redcurrant and truffley underbrush. Rich, broad, supple and dry, offering a rich mouthfeel but limited fruit sweetness. Not overly oaky (this wine gets just 20% to 25% new oak in a normal year) but the dusty tannins give the finish an autumnal quality and a touch of austerity.
