Tasting Notes and Scores
Currants, cranberries, and peppery herbs show easily in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is bright, sharp, and crisp, with chewy, piquant red fruits from start to finish. You should be able to enjoy this wine on release. The wine is a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc,12.45% ABV. Drink from 2027-2033.

The second wine of the Château, the 2024 Château Gruaud Larose Sarget is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, and the balance equal parts Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, with the élevage spanning 12 months with the majority in used barrels. It's a forward, charming effort with perfumed red and black cherries, leafy herbs, and a kiss of graphite on the nose. It's medium-bodied, has a soft, supple, layered mouthfeel, no hard edges, and a good finish.

48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc. Certified organic. Cask sample . Open and expressive with the Merlot dominating on the nose. Lively and bright on the palate with a certain tension but adequate fruit and well-integrated tannins. (JL)
